The much loved Fitzroy hotspot which took the cafe scene by storm has a satellite address; rejoice CBD folks for Industry Beans has graced the lands of CBD. Conveniently located on the corner of Little Collins and Elizabeth Street, this one is not a full-fledged cafe experience like the flagship Fitzroy joint. It tailored to the on-the-go city folk or the professionals who are out for a quick coffee break.

Areawise it is more on the compact side but big enough to house about a dozen people. the interiors are minimalist and all white. Very neat! The moment you walk in, you'll notice how fancy and new age their espresso bar is. Instead of a huge and chunky espresso machine there are sleek beer-tap style espresso heads and frothing nozzles.
Their food offerings are limited and focused on quick bites and grab-and-go lunches. Apart from a few sweet treats they have three sandwiches - a chicken sandwich, ham sandwich and a truffled cauliflower sandwich for the vegetarians. I am a regular here but I had not tried their vegetarian sandwich till recently. One bite and I was like 'why didn't I try this sooner'. It looks deceivingly simple but don't be fooled by its appearance, it is the bomb! But food is not why people flock here, they're here for the coffee. I have not once seen this place empty now that speaks volumes. The flavor is deep and intense but not bitter; very well balanced.

To make things quicker they have an app too. It is a well made app and does what it is meant to - makes things quicker. It lets your order and you earn points for every purchase which you can convert to credit. That means free coffee sometime in future. Yayyyy!
Special mention for the friendly (and dapper looking) staff which always greets you. That's one of the things I like about this place, no matter how busy it is the staff always makes time to exchange a few pleasantries.
